The Chapin Town Hall property, while also playing host to the town's administration, police department, public works, and utilities department, is also home to a nature trail located behind the community garden.
While the trail had existed for years before Hurricane Helene, the damage caused by the storm drove the Town of Chapin to clean and refurbish the trail for the community. Anthony Andrade, the town's Public Works Superintendent, worked with volunteers from Cub Scouts Pack 411. Now the trail has multiple branches to it (with the Bluebird Trail, Cardinal Trail, Carolina Wren Trail, and Carolina Chickadees Trail), clearly marked paths, and picnic seating areas for leisure and rest!
A huge thank you to Anthony, Cub Scouts Pack 411, the Chapin Garden Club, Team Tuttle, Wrapabull, The Auto Shop of Chapin, The SC Wildlife Federation and all of the sponsors and volunteers who worked to make our town hall trail a special slice of nature in our town.
