[ARCHIVED] Boil Water Advisory for Water Customers on Amicks Ferry Road peninsula

The Chapin Utilities Department has issued a Boil Water Advisory for all Chapin area water customers located on Amicks Ferry Road from Timberlake to the end of the peninsula until further notice. Impacted neighborhoods include Plantation Summit, Bay Point, Royal Court and Magnolia Key.

The Town of Chapin has issued the boil water advisory as a result of damage by a contractor to a 10” water main in Timberlake. Repairs are being made now and should be completed this afternoon.

The Town is advising customers, until further notice, to vigorously boil water at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.

A boil water advisory will continue to be in place until the town advises satisfactory sample results have been obtained by their lab.
