Chapin Police are asking for citizens’ help in locating a robbery suspect from a January 14, 2017, incident that occurred at 10:32 pm at the Chapin Rite Aid, located at 1401 Chapin Road.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid- 20s, with a height of 5’6” to 5’8”, weighing about 160 to 180 pounds, and having light skin with freckles. Witnesses described the suspect’s attire as a white sweat shirt with a grey colored hoodie, dark colored bandana, dark colored pants, white Air Force One sneakers, and dark colored gloves.
The suspect brandished a dark colored semi-automatic hand gun and subsequently stole an undisclosed amount of money. Video footage was obtained from the scene and captured a vehicle that police now suspect to be a Nissan Xterra, light to silver in color, fleeing the area after the robbery.
SLED is assisting with the investigation and produced a forensic sketch of the suspect.
