January 30, 2024

The Town of Chapin Utilities advises the water customers within the The Oaks, Milmont Shores, Dowds MHP and Long Pine Station subdivisions within the Amicks Ferry Water System, located in Lexington County, that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or for cooking use.

Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed. The results of this sampling confirm this morning that the water system is safe for drinking and cooking purposes.

If you should have any questions concerning this notice, you may call the Town of Chapin Utilities Department, 803-345-0416.
