Municipal Court is one of limited jurisdiction, hearing only misdemeanor criminal cases, traffic cases carrying a maximum fine of $500 and/or 30 days in jail, and certain other cases as authorized by the South Carolina Legislature. The court has no civil jurisdiction.

No continuance will be granted unless the request is in writing. This request must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance of your court date.
