January 25, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Chapin United Methodist Fellowship Hall
The Chapin schools cluster will host a Community Forum on the Social and Emotional Well-being of Our Young People on Thursday, January 25 at 6:00 pm at the fellowship hall at Chapin United Methodist Church. Each of the schools are developing plans to address the growing opioid epidemic that is not only affecting our nation but also our Chapin community. Representatives from the schools, law enforcement, mental health and pharmaceutical agencies will address issues being seen at each level of the education continuum and field questions from educators and the audience. Dr. Akil Ross will moderate the session. The entire Chapin community is invited to attend and learn how they can support our schools and our children.
