Chapin Town Hall

Mayor's Message

Greetings,

I often talk about how much I have enjoyed living in the Town of Chapin for over 30 years. One of those reasons is that we live in a unique community that values faith, family and friendships. There are several events that emphasis this about our community, two of them will be held on the first weekend of April, the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast and Community Service Day, held on April 5 and 6 respectively.

As Mayor of this community it is a privilege to host the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast. This year's Mayor's Prayer Breakfast will be held at Town Hall on April 5 at 8:00 am. This event is an opportunity to assemble as a community and build relationships. We offer sponsorship for the business community and individuals. Last year the event was sold out and we hope to have another successful event this year. You can find additional details regarding the event on our website: www.chapinsc.com

The next day, Sat. April 6, is a time for our community to put our collective values into action by serving others. Referred to as Chapin Community Service Day,  hundreds of community citizens participate annually by completing projects to help their neighbors and make Chapin a better place to live. This year we changed the format, instead of hosting a lunch Town Hall will host breakfast for all citizens that will be participating. We ask that all participants meet at Town Hall at 7:30 am to meet in fellowship prior to starting their projects. Breakfast will be provided by Town Hall and cooked by members of the American Legion Post 193. If you have a group that is interested in volunteering, a community project in mind, a business wanting to sponsor or if you are an individual looking to serve, please contact Nicholle Burroughs, Director of Public Affairs, at communications@chapinsc.com .

In the upcoming weeks, I am looking forward to celebrating what makes this community so special with the people that make it a great place to live, work and play.

Warmest Regards
Mayor David Knight
