Mayor's Message

This past Saturday was a beautiful day in our community. Not only was the South Carolina weather perfect but everywhere you looked there were people participating in the Chapin Community Service Day. From the Chapin Chamber to Old Town Hall and out by the "Welcome to Chapin" road signs, there were volunteers busy performing service projects. It was a wonderful opportunity to work together as a community to make Chapin a better place for all.

Sgt. Finch Accepts Award

Chapin Police Department Recognized

Sgt. Bill Finch accepted the Gold Level DUI Challenge Award on behalf of the Chapin Police Department. The award is issued by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Network (SCLEN).

This award is used to recognize police departments that fully participate and meet all challenge criteria. To receive the award, departments must attend at least 50% of all scheduled LEN meetings, submit all enforcement activity as well as public contact reports by the designated due dates and submit no zero activity enforcement reports. Congratulations to the entire Chapin Police Department on a job well done.

Service Force

Bring Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Join us at Chapin Town Hall on April 26 for a drop in event anytime between 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm in honor of National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour Town Hall, meet with elected officials, learn about careers in the government sector and interact with local police.

The event is open to children of all ages and their adults (mothers, fathers, grandparents, family friends, etc.). Registration is not required but the first 25 children that pre-register and attend will receive a special gift and certification of participation from the Mayor.

To pre-register for the event send an email to communications@chapinsc.com with the child’s name, age, adult attendee and approximate time they will be dropping by.

Farm Fresh

Chapin Farmer's Market

The Chapin Downtown Farmer's Market will be held the first Saturdays of the month from May through October in the 100 block of Clark Street from 8:30 am to 11:00 am.  We plan to have prepared food vendors, live music, activities for kids.

 

We are currently accepting applications for vendor participation, entertainers and sponsors. For more information, contact Nicholle Burroughs at communications@chapinsc.com . Please submit your forms and payment to Town of Chapin, PO Box 183, Chapin SC 29036.
