Happy Fourth of July! What a blessing to live in this great country and thank you to our men and women serving in our armed forces for their courageous service and commitment to keeping our nation safe. I hope you and yours enjoy a fun, safe and patriotic holiday.

Last week we had some interesting fun at Town Hall as we saw a number of young people coming to look for painted rocks as part of Chapin Baptist’s vacation bible school activities. They had some painted like US presidents and others were flags. It was fun to see the excitement of the children as they hopped out of their vehicles to scramble around and find the rocks. Thanks to James Clonts, Pastor of Chapin Baptist Church, for including Town Hall in their scavenger hunt.

Labor Day Planning is underway and if you have not signed up to participate as part of the parade, street vendor or advertiser in our program booklet that gets distributed prior to the weekend, it’s time you do. The forms are available on our website.  Thanks again to our major sponsors – Lexington Medical Center, Lexington County, Chapin Liquor, Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative, O’Leary Orthodontics, Morgan and Associates Nationwide, Zestos of Chapin and Tipsy Toad Tavern.

Friday is the deadline for our community survey so please take a moment to complete that if you haven’t already. It’s available on our website (www.chapinsc.com), and thank you for your help with this.

Together We Stand – Chapin Proud!
