Run or Walk a Crooked 5k for Meals on Wheels
at Crooked Creek Park, 1098 Old Lexington Highway. Registration at 7 AM. Race begins at 8 AM. For information, call 803-345-6181 or fax entry forms to 803-345-6112.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2016
NEW - The Hinson Girls Bluegrass Concert  Chapin Presbyterian Church (600 Lexington Ave.) Free hot dog dinner at 5 pm and concert starts at 6 pm.

Blues on Beaufort Street Outdoor Concert next to Tipsy Toad Tavern (103 Beaufort Street)Street party begins at 7 PM, Anthony Charles and the Blues Dolphins play at 8 PM. Sponsored by United Sporting Companies.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2016
Chapin Proud Labor Day Parade at 9:30 AM. Line up begins at 8 AM in GIS parking lot, 917 Chapin Road. (See map for route details)

Live Music on Beaufort Street under the tent, immediately after the parade. Featuring R&B artists CASH MONEY starting at 11 am. Sponsored by Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative.

Children’s Play Area – Featuring games, bouncy house, coloring mural and other fun activities in the Crawford Center parking lot on Clark Street. Sponsored by Publix.

Chapin Branch Library Annual Book Sale – Chapin Town Hall Community Room, 157 NW Columbia Ave. sponsored by the Friends of the Chapin Branch Library to benefit our local branch until 2:30 pm.

8th Annual Classic Car Cruise-In – 9 AM – 1 PM in Mt Horeb parking lot off Beaufort Street featuring giveaways, music, 50-50 raffle and prizes. Canned goods and non-perishable food items for Chapin’s We Care Center also appreciated.  Sponsored by Taylor’s Auto Service.

AMROC Model Train Exhibit in the American Legion Post 193 building.
