SC Thrive is a statewide nonprofit offering solutions to South Carolinians in need of resources but facing a multitude of barriers. We provide a variety of training and technology to other direct service organizations so they can more effectively help people access these resources. SC Help is a program managed by the SC State Housing Authority that provides assistance to qualified homeowners who are having a hard time paying their mortgage because of financial hardship. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program is a federal program that was designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training and support services to succeed in the labor market   and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy. “Bank On” Columbia initiative, funded by the City of Columbia, partners with financial institutions, local government and community organizations to help bring un-banked and under-banked residents back into the financial mainstream. The program also offers free financial literacy workshops. Future financial literacy workshops at the Richland Library (1431 Assembly St.): September 23rd, November 11th and January 20th from 10am until 12:45pm. We are collecting food donations and school supplies in the lobby at Town Hall for the next few weeks to help keep pantry shelves full and help Chapin area students who may need help getting ready for the start of school. Please drop items by for this special collection Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
